Mission Imposible: An Ikren Story (Part 1)

A crash. That’s all she can seem to remember. In a blinding flash of red, orange and yellow, she was out of the sky and onto the hard ground. She let out a small groan as she tried sitting up, a liquid slowly rolling down her head.

Freaking stupid technology, she cursed slightly only to groan when her head started throbbing. She didn’t know exactly why she was cursing the machine, but it just seemed right. She winced loudly when she felt something tugging on her collar, trying to pull her out of the burning vehicle. Using all of the strength she could muster, she turned her head to the force.

She saw a small, metal being upon the top of the seat, pulling desperately upon a dark blue collar which she guessed was her own.  The desperate, pleading voice coming from the being drove her to pull herself up and out of the car.

Thankfully, she trusted that being, for the car exploded when they were a few feet away from it.

The exhaust, which seemed to fill the confused girl’s lungs till they made her cough. The metal being beside her, looked up in worry. “M-master Salena,” the being called worriedly. More confusion just filled the other’s head until something flashed across the back of her brain.

A memory.

It was a bit hazed, but she seemed to remember seeing this being who called her master once before. But it wasn’t right away that she saw her. Instead, she was confronted with two taller beings, their faces unknowledgeable to her. They talked to her for a bit, their voices blurred and unnoticeable. All, but one word.

Sin.

A smile was placed upon the new memory gainers lips as her gaze went back to where she was.  The little robot was now so close, the other could make out the numbers in her light blue eyes. It was then that the bigger being realized that the robot was trying to fix something.

“Don’t worry about it Sin,” she called, snapping the robot’s attention away from the wound, “It’s just a scratch…You know that I’ll go through worse.” This simple sentence was able to morph the robots expression form worried to extreme joy within a second as the hands moved to around the mightier one’s neck in a hug.

“I knew you wouldn’t forget about me,” she called loudly, figurative tears threatening to rush down the metal cheeks. The elder one chuckled greatly as she wrapped one arm around Sin, gently patting her back.

“Of course I wouldn’t,” she cooed, “How could I forget my best friend and trusted assistant?” This churned the little robot’s expression so much more that if she got more joy, she would completely explode. A great squeal escaped from the robot’s throat before the bigger being felt the small one freeze.

“S-sin,” she said, gently pulling the robot from her skin, “are you alright?” As if response to the answer, the robot simply and slowly lifted up one hand, a single finger pointing behind the bigger one’s back. Curious and a bit worried, ‘Saleana’ slowly turned around.

Only to be met with a weird being...
